 GENERAL INFORMATION

         The Megalong Australian Heritage Centre is regarded as ”the  most unique farmstay in  NSW”   and features rugged majestic sandstone cliffs and the winding Cox’s River, yet it is serene and tranquil with vast stretches of beautiful pastureland and pristine wilderness areas. Over 5klm of the rugged Cox’s River meanders through this unique property with huge chasms and canyons with warm sandy banks with deep  water holes . We like guests to experience what makes our farmstay in the Blue Mountains famous worldwide.

          The first horse rides leaves around 9.30 and ambles across the property. Our trail rides on horseback are truly one of the most breathtaking in scenery to be ridden in Australia – they let the guests unwind and take in the isolation and remote wilderness unparalleled so close to Sydney  its hard to believe that it is only 90 minutes away. They can walk over to the lookout over the Cox’s River Canyon with  superb views into the beautiful Blue Mountains World Heritage National Park.

           Guests at Megalong  can relax  with a camera and explore the farm to reveal the grazing kangaroo’s -a great sight for photographers or bush walkers!    They can enjoy real stockmans life at the Drover’s camp under the  under the willows in the Alfresco dining area and watch the  activities around the stockyards.

For a true Bush experience  you can sit around the campfire for a cup of billy tea, learn a little about our  woolly friends, crack a whip and enjoy a damper.
